TWAINCommander Service Releases

twaincom.exe has a BETA expired message in licensed builds B710 - B723 on and after 1/1/2009.
The build B724 fixes this problem.

Monochrome TIFF images can be inverted with some TWAIN devices.
This problem has been solved with build 538.

JPEG files are created invalid.
The build 504 fixes the bug occures only in build 503 that JPEG images could be invalid.

TWAIN Integration Kit Service Releases

Since the TWAIN Integration Kit 2.0 has been released some bugfixes and improvements has been made to the product.

The most recent builds are:

TIK 2.0 Standard Edition version 2.4.0.0

TIK 2.0 Professional Edition version 2.4.0.0

The fixes are available free of charge for registered TIK customers. To obtain the latest service release contact JSE Imaging Solutions and supply your TIK serial number.

The following list contains known problems of the original release and the version that fixes the problem.

Thunking not supported
The original version 2.0 of the TIK does not support THUNKING which allows to run together 16-bit drivers and 32-bit applications and vice versa. This limitation has been removed with version 2.0.7.0.

TIK_SetImageFileFormat not exported
The version 2.0.7.0 solves the problem that the function TIK_SetImageFileFormat was not exported in the TIK32P.DLL (Professional Edition only).

NegotiateScanParameters does not support 24 bit scanning
A bugfix for the NegotiateScanParameters function allows now also to scan with 24 bit depth with this function in version 2.0.7.0.

New function: TIK_HLAcquire2File
The new high level function TIK_HLAcquire2File is added from version 2.0.7.0. This allows if source and application are 32 bit to scan files larger than 16 MB also with high level functions.

Support of Borland C++ added
The version 2.0.7.0 of the TIK header file is also compatible with Borland C++.

TWAIN 1.6 support added
The version 2.1.1.0 of the TIK gives support of the TWAIN specification 1.6 ad its additional capabilities. The header files and the JSETOOLS.INI (Professional Edition only) are modified.

New version of TWBROWSE
The version 2.1.1.0 of the TIK includes an improved version of the tool TWBROWSE that gives information about the TWAIN files (Professional Edition only).

New version of SHOWCAPS
The version 2.1.1.0 of the TIK includes an improved version of the tool SHOWCAPS that fixes a problem if printing with higher resolutions than 360 dpi (Professional Edition only).

High level functions hangs TWAIN after pressing cancel in DS
The version 2.3.1.0 fixes the bug which let the TWAIN system (16 bit) hang when within a TIK high level function the user is pressing cancel in the user interface of the TWAIN driver and return without image to the application.

Debug Message during memory mode transfer occurs
The version 2.3.2.0 fixes the bug of version 2.3.1.0 that a debug message was displayed during a buffered memory mode transfer using the 32 bit DLL of the TIK.

The version 2.4.0.0 fixes the bug which let the TWAIN system (32 bit) hang when within a TIK high level function the user is pressing cancel in the user interface of the TWAIN driver and return without image to the application.
